Driveway-safe roll-off containers for Newark-area homeowners clearing garages, closets, remodels and cleanouts.
Learn moreOur story
A Newark-based roll-off dumpster company serving the Ironbound and 16 surrounding towns across three counties.

NWJ Dumpster Rental operates out of a yard at 615 Frelinghuysen Ave in Newark's Ironbound section, tucked into the industrial corridor near Newark Liberty International Airport and the Rt 1&9 truck route. It is a stretch of the city built for exactly this kind of work — wide roads, easy access to the highway network, and a straight shot to job sites across Essex, Union, and Hudson counties. From this yard, our dispatch team sends out roll-off trucks every day the business is open, dropping and picking up containers for homeowners, contractors, and property managers across northern New Jersey.
Our team has spent several years hauling dumpsters through the same streets, alleys, and driveways that make up greater Newark, and that repetition matters more than it sounds like it should. Knowing which blocks in the Ironbound have tight turning radii, which Livingston cul-de-sacs need a shorter truck, or where a Kearny street permit is required before a container can sit at the curb is the kind of knowledge that only comes from doing the route over and over. We put that experience to work on every delivery, whether it is a single 10-yard container for a garage cleanout or a 40-yard unit for a demolition site.
We are open Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 7:00pm, which covers the hours contractors actually work and gives homeowners a wide enough window to schedule a swap or a pickup without rearranging their whole week. Orders can be placed by phone at (862) 307-9238 or by email at info@nwjdumpsterrental.com, and we accept cash, credit card, and debit card for payment. There is no long intake process — a phone call is usually enough to get a size recommended, a delivery date set, and a price quoted.
NWJ Dumpster Rental is locally run, with one yard, one dispatch team, and a service map that covers 17 towns in Essex, Union, and Hudson counties: Newark, East Orange, Irvington, Bloomfield, Belleville, Nutley, Montclair, West Orange, Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, and Livingston in Essex County; Elizabeth, Hillside, and Union Township in Union County; and Kearny and Harrison in Hudson County. Every one of those towns is a fully incorporated New Jersey municipality — the state has no unincorporated land anywhere within its borders — so every delivery falls under a specific local government with its own permit rules and street regulations, which our dispatch team tracks town by town.
By the numbers
Figures are indicative of our current operation.
NWJ Dumpster Rental runs on a simple model: one yard, one fleet of roll-off trucks, and a dispatch team that schedules deliveries and pickups across all 17 towns in our service area. When a call or email comes in, we talk through the job — a bathroom gut, a roofing tear-off, a full estate cleanout — and recommend a container size based on what is actually generated on jobs like that, not just what is available. Delivery windows are set for the same day when the schedule allows it, and otherwise for the next business day.
Once a container is on site, the rental period runs on a standard schedule, and swaps or early pickups can be arranged with a phone call. We keep pricing straightforward: a flat rate for the container, the hauling, and disposal up to an agreed weight limit, quoted before the truck ever leaves the yard.
Our service area spans three counties — Essex, Union, and Hudson — and 17 towns in total, from the Ironbound where we're based out to Livingston at the western edge of Essex County and Harrison and Kearny across the Passaic River in Hudson County. New Jersey is unusual among states in that it has no unincorporated land at all: every square mile belongs to one of its 564 incorporated municipalities, and that holds true for all 17 towns we serve. In practice, that means every delivery falls under a specific town's street and permit rules rather than a county default, and our dispatch team keeps that distinction straight for each municipality on the list.
That tri-county footprint lets us move a truck from a Newark job to an Elizabeth job to a Montclair job in the same day without crossing outside territory we know well, which keeps delivery windows tight and pricing consistent no matter which of the 17 towns a job is in.
Newark and Essex County get real weather, not just the postcard version of four seasons. Nor'easters roll through from November into March, dumping heavy wet snow and freezing rain that can shut down side streets for a day or more, and our dispatch team builds that into winter scheduling — earlier drop-offs, earlier pickups, and a straight answer if a storm is going to push a delivery back. Summer and early fall bring a different risk: the remnants of tropical systems moving up the East Coast. The remnants of Hurricane Ida caused catastrophic flash flooding across Newark and Essex County on September 1 and 2, 2021, closing roads and flooding basements across the region.
Storm cleanup, whether it's downed tree limbs after a nor'easter or water-damaged debris after a flash flood, is routine work for us. We know which streets flood first and which ones stay passable, and we schedule storm-debris pickups around that knowledge rather than guessing at it after the fact.
What we stand on
Every delivery in our 17-town service area is scheduled from the same Newark yard, so there is one point of contact for booking, questions, and pickups.
We quote a flat rate before the truck leaves the yard and explain what could change it, rather than adding surprise fees after the container is full.
Several years of running the same routes through Essex, Union, and Hudson counties means we know the tight driveways, permit rules, and truck access points town by town.
NWJ Dumpster Rental is a locally run operation based in Newark's Ironbound, not a national call center dispatching out-of-area trucks.

Yes. NWJ Dumpster Rental is a locally run operation based at our yard on Frelinghuysen Ave in Newark's Ironbound, and our dispatch team handles every delivery in our 17-town service area directly from there.
NWJ Dumpster Rental has been delivering roll-off dumpsters to Newark and the surrounding towns for several years, giving our team a solid working knowledge of local streets, permit rules, and job-site needs across the region.
We serve 17 towns across three counties: Newark, East Orange, Irvington, Bloomfield, Belleville, Nutley, Montclair, West Orange, Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, and Livingston in Essex County; Elizabeth, Hillside, and Union Township in Union County; and Kearny and Harrison in Hudson County.
Service area
We run roll-off containers out of our Ironbound-area yard on 615 Frelinghuysen Ave to all seventeen communities we cover across three counties — Newark itself and the rest of Essex County, plus Elizabeth, Hillside and Union Township just south in Union County, and Kearny and Harrison just across the Passaic River in Hudson County. Newark, Elizabeth, Hillside and the Ironbound are usually same-day; the farther Essex County suburbs and the Hudson County towns are more often next-day. If your address is not listed, call anyway. We likely still get there.
